This is an unique opportunity to join a close knit finance team at a time of significant growth and expansion.
My client is looking to add an experienced FP&A and Business Partnering Lead to their team in West Dublin. This critical role will focus on financial strategy, cost analysis, and operational efficiencies, working closely with senior management to drive performance and optimise growth.
You will shape financial insights and decision-making in a fast-paced and evolving organisation. This standalone role within the finance department offers the opportunity to shape FP&A and Business Partnering within the company. The role brings a unique level of autonomy and access to senior leadership for someone who is keen to influence the direction of the business.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a technical ability to analyse data and performance, deliver insights and the ‘why’ in a concise manner, along with an ability to build a constant suite of visually appealing reporting and deliver both operational and strategic level insights to colleagues. Experience owning and leading a budget process coupled with with an ability to partner with budget holders and build relationships and trust with senior colleagues is critical.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, prepare and maintain monthly financial forecasts including budget reconciliations and supporting analysis for all departments.
- Develop and analyze departmental financial results and key performance indicators including the preparation of monthly & quarterly reporting packages and commentary
- Lead the annual budgeting process, working with SLT and Group finance colleagues to deliver a robust annual financial plan.
- Partner with senior leadership and departmental budget holders to make recommendations for optimizing financial performance and achieving financial targets
- Present business case studies to senior leadership in support of capital expenditures
- Lead efforts to standardise month end reporting and FP&A activities, and creating the most suitable data points in the appropriate formats
- Finance lead for ad hoc project work
- As a key hire for to the finance team, the successful candidate is expected to embrace a culture of process improvement and the ‘finance first’ approach to the business, with a focus on streamlining processes and adding value to the business.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant with Irish Accountancy body ( CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA / CPA Ireland)
- 3-5 years PQE ideally in a commercial finance role
- Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Track record in owning and managing a budget process
- Excellent working knowledge of MS office package, in particular Excel & PowerPoint
- Experience using Oracle ERP/ Hyperion / SAP/ Essbase an advantage
- An ability to distil and summarize large, complex data sets, and relate them in a concise, simplified manner to non-financial colleagues
- Emphasis on attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to interact with and influence a variety of personnel across the organization including senior management.
