Financial Accountant – 1 year Fixed Term Contract

This role will suit a recently qualified accountant with a background in audit, accounts preparation and financial statement review.

This position requires an immediate start and is to cover a maternity contract for a period of 12 months (possibly longer).

About the Role:

Preparation of corporate entity audit files under FRS 102;
Assisting with the co-ordination of statutory audits and liaising with external auditors during the course of the audit;
Internal controls; maintain strong internal controls through review and segregation of duties;
Assist with the preparation of complete, accurate and timely monthly management accounts through SAP;
Preparation of monthly journals (high volume and complex);
Delivery of high quality output (complete, accurate and validated).

Requirements:

Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA)
Practice trained with +1 year of accounts preparation experience
Detailed understanding of IFRS and FRS 102
Double-entry accounting knowledge and experience
Demonstrated ability to work to strict reporting deadlines, while managing multiple priorities
Computer literate (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word) with the ability to learn the firm’s systems and other reporting tools
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail, as well as commitment to quality and efficiency
