Accountant – Group Reporting

Job Overview.

Experience: 1-2 Years Years Sector: Industry Accounting

This permanent accounting role sits in Group Reporting within the Wealth & Insurance team of a leading Irish Financial Institution. This team is responsible for IFRS and Embedded Value based reporting as well as preparing and reporting monthly Management Accounts to the business and Group.
 
Responsibilities: 

• Producing and initial analysis and commentary of financial Management Information for the business & Group
• Preparing monthly financial KPI’s
• Ensuring intergroup transactions are correctly accounted for and in agreement for Group consolidation.
• Ensuring notes to the accounts are prepared and input to the Group reporting model in a timely manner.

• Ensuring that all intercompanies are reconciled and completed within the agreed timeframe of month end and any mismatches investigated.
• Ensuring all monthly, quarterly and annual reports are completed accurately and delivered in a timely and professional manner to all stakeholders (internal management, Group reporting, CSO reporting and Central Bank).
• Ensuring a quality, professional and compliant financial presentation and analysis of the business for all internal and external stakeholders.
• Liaising with the rest of the Wealth & Insurance finance team and auditors (internal and external) to ensure reporting deadlines are met and any queries are resolved in a timely manner.
• Following procedures and controls to ensure that accounting records are accurate and internal / external audit / IFC requirements are met.

 
Skills, Knowledge and Attributes:  

• Qualified Accountant with proven experience in the above tasks.
• A highly organised approach to work with attention to detail
• Ability to meet tight deadlines while not compromising on quality
• Ability to work effectively in a team as well as on one’s own
• Ability to take responsibility for producing high quality work
