Accounts Assistant – 9 Month Contract

A+F Recruitment is partnering with an organisation in the manufacturing sector to recruit an Accounts Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional to gain hands-on experience in a hybrid working environment within a well-established team.
The successful candidate will report to the Finance Manager and will be responsible for a variety of transactional finance duties. The role offers exposure across multiple areas of the finance function and is ideal for someone looking to expand their skill set in a dynamic business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable: post transactions, reconcile vendor accounts, and resolve queries
- Support accounts receivable: post customer cash receipts, reconcile accounts, and handle queries
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations
- Generate monthly cashflow reports
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of monthly accounts
- Support year-end audit processes
- Provide ad hoc support to the finance team on administrative and project-related tasks
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in a similar finance role
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Excellent organisational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable approach in a fast-paced environment
- Proven team player with initiative
Desirable:
- Experience with SAP or Esker systems
