The successful candidate will be part of the European Human Capital team and the Finance team of a leading global investment firm that manages investments across multiple asset classes. The individual will be responsible for the day-to-day processing, reporting, and review of payroll matters across a number of legal entities as well as supporting on EMEA employment tax compliance, and projects as they arise.
 
Responsibilities :
 
Payroll

  • Prepare, process, and review where applicable the preparation of 4 UK employee, 4 UK LLP, and 5 Irish employee, payrolls on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare, process, and review where applicable 8 overseas payrolls (Spain, Switzerland, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Germany, France, Sweden, Denmark).
  • Quarterly processing of 6 Irish fund payrolls.
  • Types of compensation processed include Salary, bonus, RSU’s, Carry, Severance, Loan interest, impatriation and foreign day reliefs, pensions and benefit in kind arrangements (inclusive of relocation packages).
  • Uploading monthly payroll data into the Firms accounting system (S4 Hana/SAP) and creation of payroll payments where required on banking platforms.
  • Working closely with all members of Finance, HR, External Benefit providers and outsourced payroll providers. Provide payslips and access to payroll portals (ADP/TMF) to employees as required.

 
Employment Tax

    • Irish Revenue Monthly Enhanced Reporting requirements; and
    • all other tax compliance within EMEA territories.
  • Regulatory Reporting
    • Irish High Earners report
    • Annual Remuneration Reports for Alternative Investment Funds

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience preparing and processing monthly Payrolls across multi geographical locations – Approximately 600 individuals (UK, Ireland, Spain, France, Switzerland, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Sweden, Denmark).
  • Minimum of 4+ years Payroll experience (working within a financial services / regulated environment or large multinational a plus).
  • Hands on experience working with UK payroll in excess of 100+ staff is essential for this role.
  • Prior UK and/or Irish employment tax knowledge not essential, but desirable.
  • Willing to upskill and learn new aspects of overall employment tax reporting across EMEA
  • Previous experience of uploading & understanding journals on accounting systems.
  • Knowledge of ADP, TMF, or a similar payroll software.
  • Knowledge of S4 Hana/SAP or a similar accounting system.
  • Excellent Excel / I.T. skills.
  • Experience working with senior professionals.
