My client is looking to recruit an energetic and enthusiastic finance professional who is looking to further develop their career in an exciting and fast-paced environment which will support the transition to low carbon energy. In joining the Finance team, you will be part of a highly motivated and skilled team, working to achieve maximum value for the Group.

Key priorities for Finance Operations and FP&A are the delivery of best practice finance processes, digitalisation, delivering business requirements and continued staff development.

Key Responsibilities of the Finance Operations & FP&A team member:

  • Period close, consolidation and reconciliation activities at Group and Business Unit level
  • Co-ordination of the annual statutory audit process, engagement with external auditors and delivery of outputs to key internal and external stakeholders as required
  • Delivery of continuous  improvement  initiatives  and  various  projects  within  the  Accounting & Reporting function
  • Monitoring accounting (IFRS), technical and commercial developments and advising on their impact on the financial close of the Group
  • Responsibility for overseeing and reviewing accounting and reporting processes, including ensuring that relevant record to report controls are operating effectively
  • Prepare, analyse and report BU monthly management reporting information
  • Analyse and report financial and non-financial KPIs
  • Prepare forecast, target setting, budgets and 5-year plans, to include gathering inputs through engagement with the business, reporting draft and final outcomes and commentary
  • Address ad hoc queries and decision support requests

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • A professional accountancy qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or equivalent with at least 2 years post qualification experience
  • High level of accounting competency and strong analytical skill
  • Highly motivated – able to work on own initiative and as part of a tea
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skill
  • Strong IT skill
  • Strong understanding of financial systems and processes
