Experience: 3-5 Years Years Sector: Financial Accounting

This role is responsible for assisting with the life cycle management of the finance function across group companies. You will work closely with the Group Financial Controller to design and implement month end procedures to include period close deadlines and monthly balance sheet reconciliations. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely production of management accounts, monthly reporting, cash management as well as tax and statutory filing.
 
A Flavour of your Responsibilities 

  • Preparation of daily bank reconciliations
  • Month end reporting and management of the month end close process and timelines
  • Perform month balance sheet reconciliations for review by the Group Financial Controller
  • Monthly posting and reconciliation of intercompany transactions
  • Assist in the management of working capital and cash flow
  • Prepare monthly/annual analysis of performance against budget
  • Review of monthly expenses including variance analysis and commentary for management
  • In conjunction with the Group Financial Controller, prepare monthly financial statements for inclusion in group monthly board pack
  • Assist with group audit process and preparation of year end consolidation
  • Preparation of bi-monthly/quarterly VAT returns for ROI/NI company
  • Preparation of monthly VIE’s & Intrastat returns
  • Ongoing management of group pension requirements
  • Continuous review and monitoring of existing processes and proactively suggest areas for improvement

Skills/Experience Ideally Required  

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification or part qualified essential
  • Minimum 1 years post qualification experience
  • Experience of reporting and analysis
  • Proficiency in integrated accounts packages and Microsoft applications (particularly a high competency in Excel)
  • Excellent numeric, analytical skills and attentiveness to detail
  • Can establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work diligently, accurately and under pressure
  • Ability to multi-task, skill in establishing priorities and managing workloads
  • Capable of working on your own initiative whilst keeping stakeholders informed through clear communications
