Financial Accountant (Law Firm)

Our client, a global law firm with offices in Dublin, have an exciting opportunity for a financial accountant to join their team in a hybrid working capacity

The Role
– Prepare Statutory Accounts
– Prepare and manage bimonthly VAT returns
– Post Vat reclamation reclassification (counsel fees)
– Prepare bank reconciliations, liaise with credit control and fee earners to ensure timely posting of client invoice receipts
– Maintain cash flow and ensure bank accounts do not go overdrawn
– Manage corporate credit card payments and postings to appropriate general ledgers
– Prepare annual budget, monthly monitoring, supporting local office managers in preparation analysis and variance investigations
– Manage and prepare for external and internal audits, analysis and investigations of P&L accounts, monitoring the cost effectiveness of purchases, evaluation of asset register and maintenance of insurance cover values
– Managing partner capital loans & posting to ledgers
– Pay and post draw requests from partners
– Prepare payments for partners’ tax and post to system
– Post partner capital loan increases to system when received in bank account
– Prepare tax computation information for tax team to prepare partner tax calculations
– Prepare partners draw payments & post to system
– Prepare bank reconciliations 
– Prepare cash flow reports 
– Prepare reconciliations for employee payroll control accounts
– Post employee payroll payment, payroll journals within system and ensure appropriate treatment of tax and pension contributions
– Prepare, upload and post to system employee pension and benefit contributions
– Manage accounts payable uploads into firms AP system
– Manage office expenses through firms travel expense system

Your Profile
– Minimum 3 years’ law firm experience in a similar role.
– ACCA or ACA or CPA or CIMA qualifications.
– Up to date knowledge of the Solicitors’ Accounts regulations
