This is an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join a busy and growing Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Director, the chosen candidate will join a supportive team in a varied and interesting role that offers learning and career progression opportunities for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Involvement with the month-end process
• Accurately calculating the appropriate costs to assign to projects in the month including close coordination with colleagues from other business functions.
• Performing monthly stock reconciliations from system stock quantities to physical quantities counted as part of monthly cycle counts and investigating differences
• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
• Involvement in board pack preparation and other monthly reporting.
• Preparation of weekly payroll file for submission to our third-party payroll provider.
• Preparation of billing documents for clients including close cooperation with the Commercial team to ensure billing values and the detail provided on the invoice reflect work performed.
• Act as a key liaison with the company’s auditors and other third-party business contacts for quarterly audit of the Invoice Discounting facility.
• Involvement in system enhancement projects as they arise
• Cost analysis and budgeting work

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar)
• A minimum of three years industry experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, or qualified through accounting practice.
• Knowledge and prior experience working with Finance ERP systems.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, in particular, Excel capabilities.
• Inquisitive mindset and will to learn.
• Ability to work in a team.
