Financial Controller

Job Overview.

Experience: 5-7 Years Years Sector: Financial Accounting

A+F Recruitment are working with a well known and prestigious service working within the farming, agri and food sectors and we are now sourcing for a Financial Controller to lead the Finance Team based in their Kilkenny City offices.

The successful candidate will join a vibrant and customer focused Finance Team responsible for ensuring high quality financial management and reporting. Working closely with the Senior Management Team, you will provide valuable information and insights to help the team achieve their strategic objectives.
 
Requirements:

• A third level qualification in business or a related discipline.
• A professional accountancy qualification (CPA/ACCA/ACA).
• 3-5 years of experience in a Financial Controller role in a company with annual turnover of at least €10m.
• Experience in financial reporting for multiple business units and subsidiaries.
• Experience in preparing statutory audit files for external audit compliance.

 
Responsibilities:

• To lead the monthly management accounts reporting for the group.
• To provide monthly analysis and in-depth reporting on financial performance for all group accounts.
• To manage and develop best practice accounting policies and internal financial controls and to ensure accounting policies comply with the relevant accounting standards.
• To review and monitor costs on an on-going basis.
• To manage the accounts payable and debtor control functions.
• To ensure all statutory returns are made accurately and on-time.
• To coordinate the group audits and taxation reviews.
