My client is a fast-growing Irish Climate Tech company who, due to growth and expansion, are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their team. This is a newly created position and the successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening the company’s financial operations.

Joining a small but growing team, this will be a hands on financial management role. Reporting to senior leadership, you will manage day-to-day accounting, produce accurate and timely financial reporting, oversee payroll and compliance and support the business in financial strategy and decision-making.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead all daily accounting operations (Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition) and maintain strong internal controls.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.
  • Support external accountants in preparing financial statements.
  • Manage payroll, VAT, RCT, corporation tax, and company secretarial filings.
  • Oversee and support the bookkeeper to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Coordinating the management of cash flow, debt and debt collection.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and variance analysis.
  • Liaise with auditors and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to the management team.
  • Support cross-border regulatory and financial reporting between Ireland and the UK

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in and end to end finance role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
