Experience: 3-5 Years Sector: Financial Accounting

Reporting to the IFRS 17 Project Accountant, the successful candidate will be a member of the Financial Control Team, working on the implementation of IFRS 17 as part of a project team and ensuring the new standard is successfully transitioned and embedded into BAU reporting.
Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in driving decision making through the project journey of determining how IFRS17 is applied and implemented to the Financial Statements
  • Assist in the development of the new General Ledger to accommodate IFRS 17
  • Work closely within the IFRS 17 team and wider Financial Control, Actuarial and IT functions to develop the best reporting solutions from the General Ledger
  • Provide technical accounting support to ensure all processes are in accordance with IFRS 17 and document processes and procedures in line with the new standard

Experience & Qualifications

  • A qualified accountant with a minimum of 2 years PQE
  • Insurance background necessary
  • Strong academic background with a relevant degree
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in Financial Services and insurance industry experience an advantage
  • Advanced Excel, Word and powerpoint skills
