Experience: 3-5 YearsSector: Part-Qualified Accountant

My client is seeking an experienced part qualified accountant who is ambitious, hard working, eager to learn and who can think outside the box. Working closely with the Finance Director, you will have great exposure to the business. You will be forward thinking and be able to take ownership of projects and tasks.

This position is for a fixed term contract of 12 months to cover maternity leave

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Preparation of Monthly Accounts (including account reconciliations) & Reporting to tight deadlines
  • Day-to-day Finance: Accounts Receivable, Invoices, receipts & payments postings, bank lodgements, company credit card expenses processing
  • Tax Compliance: Preparation & filing of monthly, bi-monthly & quarterly VAT, Intrastat & VIES returns with both Revenue & HMRC
  • Statutory: Preparation of financial year end audit file and liaising with external auditors during fieldwork process
  • Treasury: Preparation of weekly/fortnightly rolling 8-week cash flow budget along with management of working capital facilities
  • FP&A: Assist in development of Analysis & Reporting using CRM, MS Excel, Power BI & other report options. Focus on providing Traders & other functions within company with all required financial data & analysis upon request in a short-time frame
  • Financial/Cost Modelling: Assist in financial/cost modelling for Capital Projects, Investment(s) options, and other projects that may be considered by company

Requirements:

  • Part Qualified Accountant with relevant industry experience.
  • Ability to take responsibility/ownership of functional areas and proactive logical problem-solver
  • Ability to present reports, data, information in a clear, concise and aesthetic manner
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • High attention to detail, multi-tasker
  • Efficient, ability to prioritise tasks, work to tight deadlines, and manage own time
  • Committed to learning and continuous improvement
  • Ability to be both a team player and also to show initiative to work autonomously and take projects/reports/initiatives to advanced stage
  • Driven to learn, succeed & help out at all times
  • Flexible attitude and approach, willing to put the extra effort in to complete tasks
