I have partnered with a growing renewable energy organisaiton who are at an exciting stage of their growth and development. 
Due to progression within the portfolio, projects are now entering the pre-construction and construction phases, and with that they are looking to add a Senior Manager of Portfolio Funding to the team.

Reporting to the CFO and CEO, the Senior Manager, Portfolio Funding will lead the financial commercialisation of large-scale onshore wind projects from planning consent through to a route to market process to achieving a financial investment decision.

The role also involves providing support to the wider business through the provision of strong financial analysis throughout the organisation from Project Managers up to Board level on various matters pertaining to the commercialisation and financing of onshore wind projects.
  
Responsibilities:

  • Finance lead on the commercialisation of windfarm projects
  • Lead on the funding solution for each individual windfarm asset, as required
  • Engage with Lenders, shareholders and Institutional Investors to obtain optimum funding solutions for all portfolio projects
  • Materially enhance the value proposition within the organisation through the development and adoption of innovative financing solutions
  • Design, build, operate and interpret project and portfolio financial models to underpin the investment cases for the portfolio of projects
  • Produce analyses from models to optimise project returns, support decision making in the development team, and facilitate route to market auction bidding processes;
  • Pro-actively seek to improve and enhance model capability for innovative project offtake, financing and structuring solutions
  • Benchmark capital expenditure, operational expenditure, market revenue and financing assumptions for projects and verify inputs to ensure the technical, financial and economic assumptions are consistent with existing base case criteria
  • Work closely with project technical, accounting, tax and financial advisors to ensure that financial models reflect all parameters for each transaction;
  • Monitor technical and financial developments and advising on their impact on financial forecasts or investments
  • Act as Corporate Finance Advsior on all aspects of deals and projects

Requirements:

  • A recognised professional financial/accounting qualification.
  • Minimum of 5+years’ financial modelling experience of infrastructure projects with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience of dealing with Lenders (and lenders’ advisors) as part of a debt raising process, Institutional Investors and/or other key Stakeholders.
  • Experience in the Energy Industry
