Senior Accountant

A+F Recruitment is partnering with an reputable organisation to recruit a Senior Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified finance professional to join a mission-driven organisation that supports the construction and related industries.
The successful candidate will report to the Finance Manager and will take ownership of producing accurate financial reports and overseeing core finance functions. The role involves a mix of hands-on finance work and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production of monthly and quarterly management accounts
• Preparation of annual audit files and ad hoc financial reports
• Management, development, and organisation of the finance team
• Preparation and review of payroll data for third-party processing
• Reconciliation of investment control accounts
• Oversight of revenue and expense recording accuracy
• Daily finance operations, including reconciliations, payments, and query resolution

Requirements:

• ACCA-qualified (or equivalent) with 3+ years’ post-qualification experience
• Experience in team leadership or people management
• Fluent in verbal and written English
• Proficient PC skills, with at least intermediate-level Excel

Desirable:

• Knowledge of pension scheme reporting for investments and management accounts
• Experience with Microsoft Business Central/Navision
