Senior Cost/Management Accountant – Fixed Term Contract
Location: Cootehill, County Cavan
Type: Full-time | 18-Month Contract

A+F Recruitment is partnering with an organisation in the healthcare manufacturing sector to recruit a Senior Management Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified finance professional to join a global leader with a strong footprint in Ireland.

The successful candidate will report to the Financial Controller and take ownership of cost accounting, month-end reporting, and financial support for operations and projects. The role involves a mix of hands-on finance work and strategic input, with a strong focus on cost control and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end reporting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Provide detailed cost and BOM analysis for new products and plant expansion opportunities
• Support standard cost setting and absorption projections, including milk and protein analysis
• Partner with operations to review material usage variances and support continuous improvement
• Coordinate internal and external audit requirements, including SOX compliance
• Support S&OP reviews and assist in annual stocktakes and reconciliations
• Represent finance on cross-functional projects including NPI, process trials, and CAPEX evaluations

Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• At least 3 years’ experience in cost accounting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

• Experience with standard costing, inventory systems, and SAP or similar ERP systems
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives
