We are excited to be working with a leading Irish Investment House focused on Entrepreneurs, Senior Executives, Institutional LPs, the Venture Community and Irish Diaspora. They have a mission to enable deserving investments and deliver superior investment performance.
Our client is looking to recruit an experienced and highly motivated Financial Accountant/Senior Financial Accountant to join their Group Finance Team. The successful candidate will report to the Chief Financial Officer and work closely with finance colleagues and all relevant stakeholders across the company, to optimise and grow the central finance function.
Main responsibilities:
- Maintaining the books and records of some of the Group entities.
- Preparing monthly financial & management accounts, financial analysis & commentary on results and Executive Management reports.
- Working with the CFO and the wider Group Finance team on the production of individual and consolidated Financial Statements.
- Working with the Group Finance team on the annual audit process including managing closure of audit queries on some of the Group entities.
- Developing / improving the financial and operational control framework to support the business.
- Liaising with the Regulator on Central Bank reporting.
- Tax reporting, both Corporate and VAT.
- Working with the CFO and the wider Group Finance team to produce annual operating budgets, forecasts and cashflow plans.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable responsibility for some of the Group entities.
- Deal with queries from internal business units and external clients and customers.
Skills, knowledge and attributes:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience post qualification, ideally acquired within a Wealth Management firm, commercial Real Estate firm or within a multinational organisation or practice. They will also consider part qualified accountants for this role if the candidates have a strong accounting experience.
- Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA/CPA/ACCA/CIMA).
- Deadline-driven with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with cross functional teams. Team player with excellent formal and informal communications skills and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate and integrate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills & reporting skills.
- Excellent commercial awareness and good judgement.
- Organised and capable of managing multiple flows of information.
- Excellent computer skills and technical ability.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
