I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to join an established payroll team within a large, multi-entity organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys taking ownership of complex payrolls while also getting involved in systems, automation and process improvement.

Working closely with the Payroll Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of fortnightly and monthly payrolls across multiple legal entities.

The role will suit an experienced Payroll Specialist who is ready to take on greater responsibility and wants to join an organisation where they can have a real impact on how the payroll function operates.

Responsibilities:

• Processing and overseeing fortnightly and monthly payrolls
• Reviewing payroll data, calculations, reconciliations and reports
• Ensuring compliance with Irish payroll legislation and Revenue requirements
• Managing pensions, medical insurance, BIK and other payroll deductions
• Preparing payroll journals, accruals and month-end reconciliations
• Supporting and guiding other members of the payroll team
• Identifying payroll risks and strengthening controls
• Supporting payroll system upgrades, testing and implementation
• Improving integration between Payroll, HR and Time & Attendance systems
• Identifying opportunities to automate manual processes and improve efficiency

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ payroll experience
• IPASS qualification
• Strong knowledge of Irish payroll and Revenue requirements
• Experience working with multiple payrolls/legal entities
• Strong payroll reconciliation and controls experience
• Good Excel and systems skills
• An interest in payroll technology, automation and process improvement
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines
