A Team Lead/ Manager opportunity has arisen in the Accounting and Reporting team within the Finance Operations division of my clients head office.
 
Key priorities for the Finance Operations division is the delivery of best-practice finance processes, digitalisation, delivering business requirements and continued staff development.
 
Candidates will have a strong technical accounting background coupled with a track record of managing and mentoring staff.
 
Reporting to the Accounting & Reporting Manager, Responsibilities will include:

• Manage the delivery of business unit management accounts, reconciliations, statutory and regulatory financial statements.
• Assist and advise the business units on accounting implications of commercial transactions.
• Management of the statutory audit process for business unit entities, engagement with external auditors and delivery of outputs to key internal and external stakeholders as required.
• Managing the relationship with key business unit stakeholders.
• Manage the performance of the Accounting & Reporting team to ensure delivery of outputs to business units.
• Manage the performance and development of team members.
• Delivery of continuous improvement initiatives and various projects within the Accounts & Reporting function.

 Experience & Qualifications:

•  A recognised professional accounting qualification is essential
• Minimum of five years’ post qualification experience in a related role
• High Level of accounting competency and strong analytical skills.
• Strong understanding of financial systems and processes.
• Track record of managing and coaching teams
• Highly motivated – able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong IT skills.
