Internal Audit – Investment Management

Job Overview.

Experience: 3-5 YearsSector: Internal Audit

Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, your role will be to assist in designing and implementing a programme of review of the Internal Control Systems of this International Investment Management group.
 
What you will be responsible for: 

• Undertaking and leading a range of audit assignments and communicating the results of assignments to the appropriate senior business unit management
• Ensuring that the audit plans are being effectively implemented through appropriate design, focus, direction and control of individual audit assignments
• Participating in the annual audit planning process
• Timely monitoring/escalation of the implementation of audit recommendations

 Your experience and skills:  

• Professionally qualified auditor or experienced professional with a background in a risk management, internal control or compliance role (e.g. ACA/ACCA/CIA or equivalent)
• 3+ years audit or relevant experience within Financial Services or a similar regulated industry
• Strong experience in leading audit engagements or projects
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and the various regulatory changes impacting the financial services industry (e.g. Fund / Asset Management industry)
• Ability to network at all levels within the organisation, coupled with strong communication skills particularly with senior management
• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills with strong overall understanding and knowledge of internal control and risk systems
• A strong team player with ability also to work proactively, independently and on a self-start basis with drive and determinationBe available to travel on overseas assignments should the need arise. 
• IT literate, including the use of IT techniques for auditing and analysing data 
• Fluent in English (written & verbal)
