This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Financial Accountant with Insurance experience to join the Dublin office of an international insurer.
Working closely with the CFO and Finance Manager for International contracts, you will be responsible for the following:
- Review, control and analyse assigned International Contracts business on a monthly basis including the preparation of all required analysis and commentaries which explain the key drivers of the results for each assigned international contract
- Actively participate in the overall process to assess all international contracts profitability, manage internal control activities, and assess and implement risk mitigating actions
- Complete participation in the onboarding process for newly assigned international contracts ensuring that all processes and data flows are set up correctly before the expected commencement date.
- Involvement in the preparation of key client profit share and underwriting year analysis
- Liaison with the local and consolidation finance team members for the inclusion of International Contract business in the business’ consolidated results in line with the group’s reporting requirements and communicated deadlines on a monthly/quarterly basis.
- Prepare and maintain a complete and transparent audit trail for all assigned international contracts
- Liaison with various external parties for the provision of data related to International Contract business
To be considered for this role, you will be a qualified accountant with experience in accounts preparation, financial reporting and control ideally within the insurance sector. In addition, you will have:
- Excellent numeric skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent knowledge of and ability to use all MS Office programmes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a track record of strong stakeholder management
- A strong ability to work on their own initiative & be proactive
- Possess excellent analytical, problem solving and relationship building skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- An ability to learn a role quickly following period of training
