Senior Finance Manager – Milan, Italy

My client is a leading international infrastructure telecoms business who is looking to appoint a Senior Finance Manager for their Italian operation, based in Milan.

Reporting to the European CFO, this is a key leadership role (Quadro designation) with responsibility for financial planning, reporting, cash flow management, commercial finance support, compliance oversight, and business performance analysis.

You will act as the senior finance lead for Italy, working closely with regional leadership, commercial teams, and corporate functions while leading a local finance team of 3.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading cash flow planning, forecasting and reporting
• Overseeing billing, collections and working capital performance
• Managing SG&A budgets, forecasts and performance analysis
• Supporting commercial decision making through financial modelling and profitability analysis
• Ensuring statutory, tax, regulatory and governance compliance
• Coordinating monthly close, audit activities and financial reporting
• Managing relationships with shared service and offshore finance teams
• Developing and mentoring a high performing finance team

Qualifications & Experience:

• 10+ years’ experience in finance leadership, FP&A, controllership or related roles
• Professional accounting qualification or degree in Finance, Economics or Business
• Strong commercial and operational finance experience
• Previous leadership experience within an international or multinational environment
• Experience working with shared services or outsourced finance functions
• Knowledge of Italian statutory, tax and regulatory requirements
• Practical knowledge of financial accounting and reporting standards, including Italian GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other ERP systems preferred.
• Fluent Italian and English
