A long established Chartered Accounting firm in Dublin has an opportunity for an experienced accountant to join their Forensic Accounting team.

The team specialises in forensic accounting assignments which include personal injury claims related to self-employed persons, financial loss due to floods / fires / breach of contract, Company Valuations and Company law breaches. Their work typically comes via legal firms and insurers.

Previous experience as a Forensic Accountant is not required, an experienced practice accountant with an ACA or ACCA qualification will be very capable in the role.

Unusually for practice, there is is no peak season and very little if any overtime required.

The team works very collaboratively in determining their position on the cases they work so anyone coming into the role will have lots of support to learn their way into the role.

The team has a well established process and templated approach to producing reports and presenting information in a succinct way which you will easily follow.

As part of the role you will provide expert witness testimony in Court, if this is new territory for you the team will be able to provide training and support.

Job Description

  • Lead forensic accountancy assignments within the firm.
  • Preparation of financial statements.
  • Income tax / corporation tax returns / financial accounting assignments
  • Provide Expert Witness testimony in Court.

Required

  • Minimum of 2 years’ post qualification experience
  • Professional accountancy qualification: ACA / ACCA

The team works on a 5 days onsite basis in the Dublin City Centre
