My client is a well established Irish business with a number of group entities. Due to company growth and an internal restructure, they are looking to add an additional payroll resources to their growing finance team. This role is based in Dublin however there is flexibility to be be based elsewhere in Ireland. This can be discussed at screening stage. 
 
Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Process Weekly and Monthly payrolls for group entities. Ensuring completeness and accuracy of calculations.
  • In‐depth knowledge of Benefit in Kind (BIK) taxes for IRL tax jurisdiction, ensuring all supporting calculations are calculated and applied correctly for each employee where required. Supporting documentation is reviewed and signed off weekly & monthly by the Managers.
  • Prepare payroll reports for management to include hours and overtime analysis.
  • Provide supporting documentation to the accountants for Balance sheet reconciliations for payroll taxes & pensions, nominal accounts across the group companies.
  • Filing and on time payment of Irish Revenue payroll taxes
  • Filing monthly on time Irish Employer & Employee Pension contributions.
  • Yearly filing of Irish payroll taxes where required.
  • Liaise with employees in ROI and with Revenue Commissioners as required.
  • Provide Audit assistance.
  • Employee Expenses processing. Reviewing employee expenses for approval, correctness and adherence to the company policy.
  • VHI Allocations & process invoices monthly
  • Attend relevant payroll and compliance seminars.
  • End of year Processing for payroll and software updates.
  • Year‐end audit reconciliations and supporting documentation.

 
Essential Requirements:

  • 3-5 years payroll processing experience
  • Member of a certified payroll institute
  • Knowkedge of Irish and UK payroll (UK experience desirable not essential) 
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Word and Excel
  • Team player with the ability to build relationships at all levels within the organisation.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self‐motivated and the ability to manage work within fixed deadlines.
