This Financial Accountant role will report into the Finance and Accounting Manager. This role will be filled by a qualified accountant with 1-2 years industry specific experience. Ideally you will have extensive IFRS reporting and Solvency II experience and be comfortable with the requirements of the reporting regulations.


  • Preparation & Review of GL entries & supporting files as part of month end close.
  • Monthly preparation of key trends and results analysis for senior management.
  • Monitoring of liquidity.
  • Monthly and quarterly reporting to mgmt. on treasury activities including liquidity and financing activities.
  • Cost management, budgeting, and reporting. Preparation of monthly expense reports with variance analysis and commentary on key drivers.
  • Preparation of significant parts of the quarterly and annual regulatory returns on a Solvency II basis.
  • Involvement in the implementation of any changes in legislation or new legislation as required
  • Prepare cash flow projections, liquidity management requirements. Monitor cash/liquidity and provide commentary to management on trends and funding requirements.
  • Strong engagement across the business Risk, Actuarial, Operations, Commercial etc.

To be considered for this role you will be a fully qualified Accountant with 1-2 years’ experience post qualification ideally in insurance/financial services. On this occasion, my client is unable to provide sponsorship.
