Finance Manager – Immediate Start

This is an excellent opportunity for a Finance Manager to join a growing international business based in Milan on an initial fixed-term contract. To be considered for this role, it is important that you are someone who enjoys being hands-on in your role, despite also being involved at a strategic level of the finance function. Reporting to a Senior Finance Manager, there is variety in this broad-based role to include the following:

Responsibilities:

• Cash flow forecasting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, consolidation of financial statements, relationship with banks, financial analysis, among other financial matters
• Responding to financial inquiries by gathering, analysing, interpreting and reporting data
• Supporting local growth activities by providing financial information to client-facing team members
• Monitoring income and expenses, coordinating collections, managing payables and reporting local financial needs to headquarters
• Preparing monthly account reconciliations
• Working with accounting team to oversee compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures; responsible for approving local financial statements
• Controlling the budgets and providing periodic forecast updates
• Contributing to departmental and company-wide objectives as required
• Working jointly with Shared Service Centre AP to proper process and register supplier invoices
• Reviewing payments lists proposed by AP
• Submitting payments in banking system

Skills and Experience:

• Degree in Economics, Accounting or Business Administration
• Minimum 3 years of experience in general accounting and finance functions
• Strong practical knowledge of financial accounting and financial reporting standards
• Experience in a revenue operations or accounting function is preferred
• Experience operating in a multinational environment is a plus
• Fluency in English and Italian is required
