My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join their established finance team in Cork. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate financial and management accounts, managing key financial processes, and overseeing the work of junior accounts staff (on site and remote). The role offers an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant with industry experience to contribute to the success and growth of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Produce timely and accurate financial and management accounts in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Manage the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement, balance sheet, fixed asset register, and revenue reporting.
• Coordinate with auditors and address any queries or issues related to financial statements and audits.
• Assist in the development and customization of a new accounting software system to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Conduct stock valuations and manage cash flow forecasting to support business operations.
• Oversee the costing of contracts and projects to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness.
• Provide guidance and support to existing accounting staff
• Collaborate with other departments to analyze financial data and support strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with 2-3 years of post-qualification experience.
• Previous experience in manufacturing/ service industry is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to produce accurate financial statements and reports on a timely basis.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
